Adam Haritan on Foraging Wild Mushrooms
There are many wild foods, plant and mushroom, that are edible and medicinal. Haritan believes that everyone should try foraging for them at least once. He recommends starting with an easy-to-find mushroom like the oyster mushroom, which can be found on dead or dying trees. Once you’ve found a few wild mushrooms, you can then begin to experiment with different recipes. Wild mushrooms can be used in soups, stews, salads, and even desserts.
